The Spirulina Industry Park in Etuoke is a characteristic industrial park built in 2009 based on the abundant natural alkali resources in Etuoke, integrating scale model, intensive, ecological, environmental protection, recycling, and green development. The park is located in Hamatagacha on the east side of Ulan Town, with a total planned area of 12400 acres and a total investment of 680 million yuan. The park has 3 autonomous region level leading enterprises, 7 municipal level leading enterprises, 1 farmer and herdsman cooperative, 1 Gacha (village) collective economic enterprise, and 30 spirulina breeding bases. It can produce over 5000 tons of high-quality spirulina powder annually (accounting for more than 45% of the total national production capacity). The products of the park mainly include spirulina powder, spirulina tablets, and phycocyanin powder. The products are sold to more than 40 countries and regions around the world, such as the United States, Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia. The annual sales revenue reaches 350 million yuan, with a net profit of 150 million yuan and a production ratio of 100%. It is currently the largest spirulina production, processing, and sales base in the world.
